Cloey Criggall Death Car Accident Obituary, Jacksonville FL, University of West Florida & Lady Tiger Softball Teammate has Died

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we wake this morning to the devastating news of losing such a radiant young soul. Today, we remember Cloey Criggall — to some a teammate, to others a beloved friend or family member, but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, she was pure light. Cloey had a presence that could fill a room, a spirit that could lift anyone’s mood, and a heart that gave without limits.

On and off the field, Cloey was the embodiment of passion, drive, and joy. She played with determination, led with heart, and lived with purpose. Her laughter was contagious, her energy unshakable, and her smile — oh, that smile — could turn an ordinary moment into something special. To her teammates, she was more than just a player; she was the heartbeat of the team, a source of inspiration who never stopped believing in others.

Outside of sports, Cloey’s strength and character shone just as brightly. She worked tirelessly, often balancing several jobs while preparing for college — a testament to her dedication and maturity. Those who knew her recall stories of her buying cleaning supplies on a Friday night after work, thinking ahead for her future, when most her age would have been out with friends. That was Cloey — thoughtful, responsible, and wise beyond her years.

Her kindness extended to everyone she met. She never forgot to say “thank you,” and even delivered a handwritten card the day after receiving her scholarship — a gesture so perfectly “Cloey.”

Cloey’s time here was far too short, but the love, joy, and inspiration she spread will live on forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with Casey Estep, the Criggall family, her teammates, and friends.

Rest in peace, sweet Cloey. Your light will never fade.
